WAFFLE HOT DOG

One of my favorite growing up in the Philippines. Great for snack and kids love it!

For filling you can use hot dog, cheese, ham, bacon, fruits or any fillings desired.

For Waffle Mix:

1 cup flour

3/4 cup whole milk

1/4 cup white sugar

1 egg

3 tablespoon cooking oil

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Cooking Direction:

Mix all waffle mix ingredients starting from the dry ingredients to the liquid ingredients making sure the sugar dissolves and set aside.

Turn the waffle maker on.

Brush or spray some cooking oil on the waffle maker for easy release.

Fill the waffle maker slots halfway with the waffle mix.

Add the hot dog or any filling and cover with more waffle mix.

Let it cook until golden brown.

*Make sure to keep an eye on the machine. Mine does not have heat adjustment so I keep on checking every minute or else it over cooked.

Serve hot with ketchup or mustard or any dipping sauce desired.
