CRISPY BBQ CHICKEN WINGS RECIPE
A must try recipe. Taste like restaurant or store bought for a lot lesser price. So easy to make and worth the time. Great for parties or any gathering. Try it!
Ingredients:
2 lbs. chicken wings
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
pinch of paprika powder
pinch of crush pepper (or more)
4 tablespoon cornstarch
2 cups cooking oil
chopped green onion for garnish
For Glazing:
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
1/2 cup banana ketchup
1 tablespoon brown sugar
salt and ground pepper to taste
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup water
Cooking Direction:
Season chicken wings with salt, pepper, paprika and crushed pepper.
Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes.
Heat the cooking oil in medium low heat using a deep pot.
Dredge the chicken in cornstarch. Deep fry for 10 minutes or till chicken is fully cooked and crispy.
Remove chicken and place in a plate lined with paper towel to remove excess oil.
Prepare the glaze by mixing the water, bbq sauce, ketchup, sugar, salt, pepper and butter in a small sauce pan.
Simmer in medium low heat. Keep stirring till sauce thickens.
Place fried chicken in a bowl. Add the glaze and toss until the wings are fully coated.
Sprinkle with chopped green onion and serve hot.
