Minatamis na Saging
Minatamis na Saging Saba or sweetened banana is a delicious Filipino dessert. One of the easiest Filipino dessert to make that the whole family would love. Minatamis na Saging is a popular dessert in the Philippines. A very sweet and easy recipe using saba or cooking banana, brown sugar, water and vanilla extract.
Some like adding langka or ripe jack fruit to this dessert or even serve it over crushed ice and evaporated milk but me, I prefer it plain saba cooked in brown sugar.
Minatamis na Saging is also an ingredient when making Saba con Yelo and the classic Halo-Halo. In Ilonggo, we call this dessert Dulce nga Sab-a. Just make sure to use ripe cooking bananas such as saba, burro, plantain or Thai banana.
This recipe uses simple ingredients that you might already have in your pantry so give this Minatamis na Saging recipe a try. Make it and share with family and friends. Save this recipe or Pin It for later use.
